Geneva AI Summit 2027: The Next Chapter After Bletchley, Seoul, Paris, Delhi
Echoing our previous input and exchanges on the Bletchley, Seoul, Paris and New Delhi AI declarations, the next global AI summit will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, on 21–22 June 2027. Announced by Federal Councillor Albert Rösti at the AI for Good Global Summit 2026, the Geneva AI Summit builds on the trajectory of previous gatherings, advancing a dual focus on trustworthy AI governance and AI-driven prosperity for all.

AI Summit 2027
The Geneva AI Summit 2027 continues a progression that has run from Bletchley Park in 2023 through New Delhi in 2026, with each summit broadening the scope of the debate from security, to action, to impact, and now toward more inclusive global governance. Where Bletchley established foundational commitments on frontier AI safety, Seoul introduced safety institutes and voluntary commitments, Paris shifted emphasis toward economic opportunity, and New Delhi advanced a development-oriented, welfare-focused agenda, Geneva positions itself as a hub of multilateralism and home to the ITU, tasked with sustaining this dialogue over the long term. The event will be held on 21–22 June 2027 at Palexpo in Geneva, running alongside the ITU's AI for Good Global Summit.
Led by the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC) in collaboration with the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), the Summit is organized around two strategic priorities: positioning AI as a driver of prosperity and progress for all, and fostering trustworthy, responsible, and safe use of AI. Switzerland has signaled it intends to prioritize genuinely multi-stakeholder participation, including from developing countries, alongside a stronger link between regulatory processes, science, technology, and practical application. Participation will span governments, academia, the private sector, and civil society, though attendance at the core venue will be curated for a focused, high-impact gathering, with accreditation modalities to be announced in late 2026.
