We joined Delphi Economic Forum's Gen Z Summit, contributing on public systems and infrastructure. Held on 29 June 2024 at the Technopolis cultural complex in Athens under the theme "Seizing the Moment," the inaugural summit was organized in collaboration with the NGO WeFor as part of the Young Leaders Circle program.

Delphi Economic Forum's Gen Z Summit

The summit brought young members of Generation Z into direct dialogue with distinguished leaders from politics, business, and civil society, creating a framework for intergenerational conversation on the issues shaping the group's future. Generation Z, the first cohort to grow up entirely within the internet and global connectivity, was framed by organizers as pragmatic and realist despite its reputation for anxiety, deeply inclusive in values yet selective in where it invests its energy, and increasingly influential across the job market, entrepreneurship, and civil society. The day-long agenda addressed how this generation will not just navigate but actively shape the age of artificial intelligence, alongside sessions on the future of work, climate action, and questions of identity and society.

Speakers included Yanna Andronopoulou, Country General Manager for Greece, Cyprus, and Malta at Microsoft; Ioanna Lytrivi, Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports; and Konstantinos Daskalakis, CEO of BCA College, among other leaders from politics, business, and social life. Our contribution focused on public systems and infrastructure, addressing how AI-driven public services and assistive technologies intersect with the generational shift in expectations around institutions, work, and security that the summit set out to explore.
